Planning is the scientific, aesthetic, and orderly disposition of land, resources, facilities and services securing the physical, economic and social efficiency, health and well-being of urban and rural communities.

Planning means formulation of a detail program to achieve certain objectives. Then chalk out details with regard to the program finalised. 


Urban planning, design and regulation of the uses of space that focus on the physical form, economic functions, and social impacts of the urban environment and on the location of different activities within it.



In the implementation process an effective evaluation mechanism and review system makes the planning even more effective. 


In view of the objectives, it can be either short term or long term planning
