Land use considerations in MASTER PLAN - Priyanka Mathur - 12-01-2014

Land use considerations in Planning can be divided into five parts :

1. Objectives & Principles pertaining to various Land uses and Existing standards for such uses.
- Existing Land use Map
- Existing Land use distribution in tabular form.
2. Nature and pattern of development within the Existing city boundaries.
- This will highlight changes required in the existing Land use pattern.
- How much future growth can be accommodated within the existing city area.
3. Outer area required for expansion of city. It is undeveloped land surrounding the city.
- Identification of lands.
- Analyzing their suitability for future development.
- Standards are proposed for new development.
4. Bringing together the Analysis and results of earlier exercise and propose a coordinated comprehensive Land use plan.
5. Identification of tools to implement the proposed plan.
