Sex Ratio

Sex Ratio has been defined as the number of females per 1000 males in the population; it is expressed as 'number of females per 1000 males'

Sex ratio = (Number of females / Number of males ) x 1000

CHILD SEX RATIO (0-6 YEARS)

Child Sex-ratio (0-6 Years) has been defined as the number of females in age-group 0-6 years per 1,000 males in the same age-group in the population. It is expressed as 'number of female children aged (0-6) years per 1,000 male children aged (0-6) years'.


Child Sex-ratio (0-6 years) = (Number of female children (0-6) / Number of male children (0-6)) x 1000
