Building maintenance - bishop - 01-25-2018

Is there any possibility that a construction technique can affect routine or defective maintenance in a building?

Construction technique affect very much the behavior of construction material with weather change . The joint detailing and methods can increase the quality life of building and reduce maintenance cost. Some materials rot or corrode in wet weather. Others may deteriorate in hot sunlight. Still others are likely to fail after a while under any conditions, simply because they’re not meant to last. Using the proper materials can make a huge difference as to how long a building will stand.
Windows are perhaps the most vulnerable building element in external building envelopes, Common defects in traditional steel windows usually arise from rusty frames, and deterioration or loss of putty or sealant to hold the glass panels.
Unpainted external brick cladding (brick veneer) has minimal maintenance requirements when compared to many alternative painted claddings.
