TOILETS / SANITATION REQUIREMENTS for Hospitals
Indoor and Outdoor Patient Wards
Administrative Buildings, Medical Staff Quarters and Nurses' Homes

as par Indian Standards IS 1172 : 1993


Water closet (WC) Requirement
Indoor Patient Wards ( For Males and Females) : 1 for every 8 beds or part thereof

Wash basins Requirement : 
Indoor Patient Wards ( For Males and Females) : 2 up to 30 beds; add 1 for every additional 30 beds or part thereof
