• A detailed work ent ailing an environment of eco-thermal space and movement serving as center of culture, religion and philosophy.
• In a temporal journey it's an interesting kind of an archit ectural resolut ion to Look at recreating rnemories and past references as it is on a hill top's most travelled route creating cultural Linkages which are well established in a muted, sublime and natural way to deal with t he whole scenario.
• Big scale projects require greater detail. that helps others to understand the depth of the project.

The practice of pilgrimage in India is so deeply embedded in the cu ltural psyche and the number of pilgrimage sites is so large that the entire subcontinent may actually be regarded as one grand and continuous sacred space. The basic structure of pilgrimage can be divided into 3 stages: the Start, the journey and return.
In the context of Maharashtra, we have 800 years old 'Vaari t radition' which is an annual pilgrimage which was evolved by saints and is the identity of Maharashtra where lakhs of Varkaris come together from different social backgrounds and participate in this joyous journey of 21 days to Pandharpur bare-footed.
The present scenario is that the entire Pune city is getting urbanized at a phenomenal pace. Thus, this unique tradition is Losing its identity. After studying and refering various books and research papers related to the Varkari tradition, I have come t o a conclusion that there is a Lot of Literature and documentation ava ia ble, but there is minimum or no physical or architectural contribution so far.
The purpose of the thesis was not only to contribute to this tradition architecturally, but also in a way which is universal in nature.lntoday's context people have Lost the understanding and the true meaning of pi lgrimage and it has become more of a superficial annual movement based on certain beliefs.
Taken from : ARCHIVING ARCHITECTURAL THESIS 2020 - "Awards for Excellence in Architectural Thesis" the annual program conducted by the Council of Architecture through its academic unit Council of Architecture Training and Research Centre (COA TRC) completed its eleventh cycle in 2016.
