  • Mobility as described in the project, physical mobility and internal mobility, depicted through a space such that, it needs to be mobile enough to accommodate other meanings.
  • The project has incorporated concerns about understanding the way of life, the aspirations or the problems, by looking at contractual sites and have generated patterns and solutions to this rather than just restricting to a single technology or a single material.

Construction is the biggest non-agricultural industry in the capitalist world. It is the activity which creates new construction and civil engineering projects. It also aids in maintenance and repair of the existing facilities. The spatial dispersion of construction sites and the relatively temporary project -wise nature of the work, mark out construction as potentially distinct from other industries in terms of labour requirement practices and use of capital. The living condition and access to amenities are the major challenges for the construction labours.
The labours and their families live in huts or under the canvas. In the working site, they live in a temporary shelter which lacks basic amenities like sanitation and safe drinking water. Hence t his project is aimed to create a better place to stay for the construction labours which has access to the basic amenities like sanitation and daycare facility for the children of the labours. There are a number of potential user group who can be benefitted by this idea of mobile buildings. For example, refugees, nomads, transient labou rs, people in the field of adventure, defense, places hit by natural calamities, pop-up stalls in festivals, etc. The study started with identifying the major parts of the scaffolding with the dimensions obtained from the study, the dimension of one module can be decided, which on manipu lation can give rise to the skeleton of the structure. Once the plans of the typical units are arrived at, they are grouped together with certain assigned rules to form basic clusters. These basic clusters are designed in such a way that a transition space
is introduced between the private and the public.
For the skin or the enclosure, various materials that can be used at various levels of enclosures, like external wall, partition wall and roof thus making it a usable unit. Hence with  the various options in scaffolding, material, typical units and typical clusters, a labour camp can be organized with a set of assigned rules on any site.
