National Workshop on Inclusive Urban Planning & Urban Poor

The main objectives of this workshop were:

a. To assess the present practices and approaches of urban planning and its
‘inclusiveness’ and the extent to which these are inclusive with reference to
provisions of housing and other needs of the urban poor.

b. Share & document the innovative practices on inclusive urban planning among
the States & cities.

c. Prepare recommendations and a strategy note to strengthen/change the
present urban planning framework / structure to make cities more inclusive.
