Is there any solution in architectural design which can be applied to reduce airport noise in residential areas near the airport ???

Airport noise nuisance is a negative impact on long term health problem for residents especially when it occurring near urban areas.
 One way is to make the residence opening like windows, ventilators and doors airtight. 

Anyone Please put some light on this topic.
