SILICONE STRUCTURALGLAZING (SSG) TECHNOLOGY
The materials used in structural glazing must be matched for adhesive properties, compatibility, and proper dimensions. Pre-job testing is a must. Written approval from the manufacturer must be required for each structural application. Not all silicone sealants are acceptable for use in this application. Whenever a silicone adhesive is used to structurally support exterior building components, a comprehensive quality control program must be established to ensure smooth, efficient and trouble-free service life of the structurally glazed product.
