Fountainhead's boss-man architect Jaisim KR, is not interested in convoluted designer coined words to describe his Work. 'What do you call it?' one ask referring to an architectural structure· in the home he designed for the Hegde family in Bangalore. 'There must be an architectural term for it?' one adds plaintively, and though he is charming and helpful he grins wickedly and says, 'Call it what you like, the name does not change its form or function .' True, so without indulging in fancy names we take our cue from the honest, natural materials of clay and stone that Jaisim shaped into the spaces that the five Hegdes: SG Hegde, Bhagya his wife and their three children Amogh, Harsha and Gayatri happily call home.
