how do you use of filter command ? plz explain ?
and what benefit is filter command in auto cad ?

Filter command "Object smart selector" is used to select only certain objects in the drawing. It is used in a complicated drawing and when we need to select some of the objects in it.
we can select objects by object layer, plot style, type, color, etc. making it quite simple to select many objects at once. You can select all the objects in the drawing that comply with the properties you assign in this dialog box or just those of the current selection. Qselect is another newer command which replaces filter in newer version of autocad
