The Indian Military is our defending spine. There are many museums in India which portray military's culture and custors as well as their
role in conflicts and war. Issues with the war museums today include little interpretation of information, missing contribution of women and locals, they are less accessible and lack of flesbility in spaces. These military museums focus on quantitative data rather than functioning as experience centers. They do not evoke emotions after the museum visit  The objective of this thesis is to design a musuem that acts as a permeable contact
zone between military and civilians. The aim is to create an iconic building that leaves an  impact on the visitor, at the same time, extend
nationalistic emotions to the society inspiring the young generation.
The results of initial study substantiate the need for flexibility in museum spaces to deal with rapidly changing visitor dynamics and
collections. Also, focus is laid on experience rather than quantitative data so that the museum itself can be viewed as an artifact, rather than a building that houses artifacts.
The musuem building is a juxtaposition of cuboidal volumes arranged in a way that creates a trianglular space between them which is used
as "nukkad" to portray stories by inscriptions and sculptures. The structure is made with reinforced black concrete, steel and wood.
Maximum diffused natural light has been invited through roofs and glazing in East and North.
