" A very successful and well articulated design project.
The design showcases materiality and architectural expression through the presentation.

Firozabad, in Uttar Pradesh was initially, one of the poorest towns in Uttar Pradesh before the existence of the bangle industry. It is the one
and only industry to cater to the entire glass bangle demand over the world. With the onset of modernisation, the manufacturing world has
moved way ahead but the bangle artisans are still left behind.

The basic conceptual approach is to make a cleaner, heathier and efficient industrial ecosystem which would be in the form of a park and as a part of a greater ecosystem cluster. The idea would be to not only theoretically but as well as practically purify the entire premises with the existing elements of 'Panchabhuta. i.e; fire, earth, water, air and space (ether). These would be carried out through a number of architecturally strategic systems like biotic pools, rain gardens (to practice the culture of rain water harvesting), wind towers, chimneys, nurseries, bio-walls / living walls, other passive cooling strategies, stepwells (bawdi or baoli). breathing lawns, terrace gardening and so on.

The overall intention of the design language followed is to revive the historical and cultural identity of the city. purify, self-sustain, enhance and cherish the art of banglemaking. creating a new typology of industrial ecosystem in the modern day which in future would act as the lungs of the expanding city.
