Well done and articulated project.
Thought behind preservation and conservation is good but it lacks the foresight through lens of today's economy.

This architectural thesis aims to showcase the cultural imporatance of the Bazaar Road, Mattancherry by conserving it, making it active and engagin to the local people and allowing tourists to explore the heritage spots with the
need of architectural interventions.

The objective is to bring life to the entire Bazaar Road, Mattancherry by conservation and redeveloping the structures to its own old self by conserving the antiquity. By distinguishing the vintage and the antique structures in the Bazaar
Road, the streets can be designed with units like street facades, socio-cu ltural interaction space, recreation space, terrace top design, art gallery etc. The plan intends to add light and liveliness to enhance the utilisation of the area and thus
improve the income of the local people.

The language of t hesis is purely based on the conservation, restoration and adaptive reuse of the heritage buildings which is the major part of solution in architecture. The language of style in the street is portuguese colonal, dutch colonial,
british colonoal and indian kerala style heritage build ings which need to be conserve is the main focus part.
