In recent years the growing need of city image has been promoted as an impulsive force for growth of a city in various aspects. Promoting
ideologies of city evolution and its urbanistic aspect to show the possibility of rap id transitions in response to cultura l, political and environmental factors can act as a significant nature of City Image making and Urbanization Process.
The City of Bhubaneswar has a history that can be traced to the 3rd century BCE with the diverse ranges of heritage resources; it showcases significant sacred cultural landscape components to modern planning and development. From ancient caves to a temple city and now being ra nked one in Smart
cities mission, since a long time Tradition and Contemporary image of the city have been existing cohesively. Creating museums approachable and open to all groups in a city and promote museums as an informal environment that fosters diverse patterns of explorations and thinking through exposure; communicate the idea of cultural and social equ ity; provide new ways of presenting through new forms of viewer engagement. Working on the sensory changes through movement and t he methods of acquiring knowledge section design approach helped in generating interesting experiences as one analyzes the environment it moves in. The museum galleries integrate exhibits explaining the tangible and intangible aspects of Bhubaneswar's heritage and its journey in t ran sforming into a place of knowledge sharing, learning and urban experience, with a special emphasis on t he juxtaposition of the ancient and t he modern. This museum acts as a mouthpiece for the people who were affected during some tragedy or recurri ng cyclones. With the age of modernization, contemporary issues should be given a platform as it's something the citizens/ visitors observe and relate to the most, including topics to create awareness on personal development and get involvement in creating a better identity as active participant or a passive seeker.
