Jury Comments
• The design process needs to be explained well in context to the theme and site.
• The concept of the thrust and the approach while designing a research facility requires more than just solving the current environmental problems and the things that arise from technology should have been  explored.
• While exploring and working on organic structures, it is important to remember that the spaces might not be symmetric all the time and should have a flow.

The project envisions building a modern BMW automobile hub to position the brand in a stronger way in India. Traditionally, BMW developed designs for its consumer and concept cars in its headquarters in Munich, Germany. These designs had to be modified for the Indian Subcontinent Conditions. The new hub will help shift R&D operations closer to the target audience. The R&D center will focus on developing designs and prototypes for automobiles in India at a faster pace. It will have workshops within the campus to allow technicians, engineers and designers to collaborate closely to come up with new designs for BMW's liM car models. The center will also have galleries and an auditorium for general
public to engage and Learn about BMW's past, present and future automobiles.

The proposed hub's primary objective will be research & innovation for new designs and improvement of past designs. Research and Innovation blocks will be on the west wing of
the campus away from the viewing areas on the east side of the campus. This will let intellectual property to not be Leaked to outside sources. The administrative and workshop blocks will ensure smooth functioning for the R&D operations. The admin block will contain offices for engineers, technicians, designers, C-Level executives and collaboration spaces for employees to share ideas. The R&D portion of the center also plans to have a test track for profiling new eng ines. The hub also plans to have one of its kind public
viewing area within its premises on the east side of its campus .
