Fraudulent Staff Actions in Architecture Firm - Sanjay Sharma - 09-20-2025

Good Morning Friends,

I feel it is important to share an unfortunate experience that has deeply affected me, both professionally and personally.
My staff member, Mr. Deep Raj Tyagi, joined my office back in 2006 as a draftsman. Over the years, as I am on the panel of some banks, I gradually trained him in handling bank interior designing works. In particular, he was entrusted with managing SBI branch interior projects on my behalf. I had placed blind faith in him.

However, a few months ago, I discovered that he had been cheating and committing fraud with me. Shockingly, he managed to get himself empanelled in the SBI Architect Panel under the firm name Concept Consultancy Services — a name deliberately chosen to resemble my firm’s name, Concept.

While he was preparing SBI interior drawings from within my office, he was submitting bills under his own firm’s name. The professional fees were being credited directly to his firm’s SBI account, while only fees of a few smaller branches were routed into my firm’s account. This not only caused a direct financial loss to me but also created serious confusion among SBI officers, since both firms had such similar names.

What is even more shocking is that he is merely a draftsman, yet somehow he managed to get empanelled in SBI’s Architect Panel, which itself raises serious questions.
I share this experience to make my colleagues and friends aware:
